People often ask “how and why Donald Trump elected? Are Americans stupid!”Both are great questions! First, no Americans are not stupid (at least not all of us)! But, like all political systems, American politics is a difficult and complicated thing.

Briefly, Americans enjoy three separate branches of government: judicial, executive, and legislative. Each of these three branches has its own functions and duties. For example, the judicial branch has the Supreme Court, the legislative has Congress, and the executive has the President, his cabinet, and the Vice-President. Unfortunately, these branches don’t always agree, which causes problems. In fact, the electoral college is only used during a presidential election and not well understood by voters.
