We are Paradigm English: an online English language teaching, tutoring, and education consulting site as well as a maintained podcast. Personal Information

Ashley J. Rhone is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily provide us via e-mail message, or other direct contact from you. This may include your first and last name, address, e-mail, phone number, credit card information will be retained in our files. We will not share, rent, or sell this information to anyone, any business, or any third party organization outside of our business other than as necessary to fulfill your request.

Information is collected based on the plugins used in the ‘Fressia’ WordPress design. The information will be used  to correspond with you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share, rent, or sell this information to anyone, any business, or any third party organization outside of our business other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g. to render services, or to ship an order. Furthermore, this data may come into our possession from you by way of contact forms, comments (see below), e-mail messages, plugins, third party embeds, analytics, and cookies (see below). We will not share, rent, or sell this information to anyone, any business, or any third party organization outside of our business

Unless requests have been denied, we may contact you via e-mail message and text message in the future for marketing purposes such as new specials, discounts, products, services, or changes to this policy.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on this site, the data collected may be shown in the comments form as well as the visitors’ IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection and fraud. 

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Users to the site that may engage in uploading any images to the website, if possible, should avoid doing so with images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Security

Paradigm English takes every precaution to protect your information. When sensitive information is submitted via the website, it is protected both online and offline. Any financial data is likewise secure and is not used by the company outside of the scheduling  (Vita Online Scheduling) and ‘Services’ sections of the website—which is used by visitors to purchase services. Contact information is stored for marketing purposes and for ease of use by return customers. By using our site, you agree to these policies. You may read more about this in the following section.

Wherever sensitive information is collected (such as the aforementioned ‘financial data’, e.g. credit card data), the information is encrypted and transmitted to us securely. Visitors may verify this by locating the ‘lock’ icon in the address bar, and ‘https’ at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we used encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees of Paradigm English who are in need of the information to perform job related tasks or duties (e.g. billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers, and servers, in which personal identifiable information is stored is kept in a secure environment.

Cookies

Any comments left on the site may require an ‘opt-in’ to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience so that your details need not be submitted again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for no less than one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Analytics

Any tracking done by Paradigm English is conducted for marketing purposes and is viewed and solely managed by the owner. This tracking is done by ‘Google Analytics’. More on this can be viewed by clicking here.

Who we share your data with

Any information provided to Paradigm English will be shared with payment processors such as PayPal™ or Stripe™. By default, the website WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.  

How long we retain your data

Comments and its metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
