The following are the policies and regulations for courses, coaching, and other programs. Please review the following policies for all online classes, programs, courses, and/or coaching with Paradigm English and any of its subdomains or related websites.

When you purchase one-to-one classes/courses, small group classes, online courses, and/or coaching from Paradigm English or Transition to Teaching Online, you agree to the following policies:

Purchasing Classes

All lessons are to be paid in advance. Classes, courses, and coaching sessions can be purchased directly at www.paradigmenglish.com. Invoices may also be emailed directly upon request. All payments may be made via PayPal or Stripe only. You may use a bank account or a credit/debit card to make payments. Paradigm English cannot accept checks or transfers.

Please note that your payment authorizes only one person to access and participate in the course.  Sharing course content with others or publishing it is strictly prohibited. Should you share your course access or any of its materials with another person, your access to the course and all its material may be immediately revoked for violating these policies.

Student Responsibility

It is the scholar’s responsibility to provide accurate contact details to ensure communication with your instructor and the Paradigm English Team. Course updates and important information are sent via email. When you choose to purchase from and study with Paradigm English, it means you accept our Terms of Use and Disclaimer.

Scheduling Classes

All classes are scheduled via an online scheduling application called Calendly. It is the scholar’s responsibility to make sure the selected time zone is correct for accurate class times. When scheduling your class, you will receive a confirmation by email and a reminder email 12 hours before your class.

All enrolled scholars are required to fully participate in any online discussions, courses, classes, etc. Should scholars choose not to participate due to any reason, the scholar will not be refunded their course fees, nor will rescheduling, etc. occur.

Canceling or Rescheduling Classes

One-to-One Classes and Coaching:

All rescheduling must be requested no less than 24 hours prior to one-to-one classes/courses/ or coaching. If you cancel or ask to reschedule within at least 24 hours notice, you will receive credit for a future session. If you cancel or ask to reschedule with less than 24 hours notice, you will NOT receive a refund and the class will NOT be rescheduled. If you do not show up for your scheduled session, you will NOT receive a refund.

It is mandatory that scholars and instructors are punctual. Please see the “late arrival” section below.

Small Group Classes:

If you need to cancel or reschedule a small group class, it is the responsibility of the student to cancel or reschedule as soon as possible. Failure to do so may result in missing the class and no refunds will be given.

Group classes with fewer than 2 students may be canceled by the instructor. The instructor will notify students by email if this should happen.

Late Arrival

Lessons will begin on time. Paradigm English cannot refund or make up lost time due to scholars’ late arrival or technical difficulties.

One-on-One Classes

Always inform your instructor if you will be late. If you are late for a class without notice, the instructor will wait and keep the class open for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the instructor will close the class and you will NOT receive a refund or the opportunity to reschedule.

Small Group Classes

Always inform your instructor if you will be late. The instructor has the right and authority to deny any scholar’s entry into the class after 10 minutes. This means that the scholar will not be able to join if more than 10-minutes tardy.

While it is rare with a small group, if no students arrive within the first 5-10 minutes and the instructor does not receive any notifications via email messages about late arrivals, the instructor has the right and authority to close the class. This class will not be rescheduled, nor will scholars receive a refund.

Refunds

One-to-One Classes & Coaching, Citizenship English, and audio programs. Paradigm English does not issue refunds for classes that have already been completed.

Other programs and courses. Paradigm English will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis for the monthly programs and/or membership course(s). Scholars may pause or cancel their membership at any time.

Fluency Academy. Visit the Fluency Academy page to view the Fluency Academy refund policy.

Instructor Needs to Reschedule

In the event that your Instructor with Paradigm English cannot meet at the scheduled time, 24 hours notice will be given, unless unable to do so due to an emergency situation.

Both the instructor and the scholar(s) will reschedule the earliest time, which is mutually convenient for both scholar and the instructor. If no reschedule is agreed upon, fees paid are usable for future lessons.

Holidays and Vacation Time

Staff at Paradigm English may be based internationally, or within the Continental United States of America. The company observes all U.S. national holidays as well as the national holidays of its employees and instructors.

A notification and reminder will be sent via email message to all scholars, staff, and instructors. This notification will inform you of any upcoming holidays.

Scholars will receive written (via email message) notification if their instructor will be absent due to vacation time. Paradigm English will notify scholars no later than one week in advance.

Recording Classes

The instructor may record the class and share a private link with scholars. These recorded classes shall not be shared with anyone else during, before, or after the course. No other recording of the lesson may be done by either party.

Request for Editing Help or Additional Services Outside of Class Time

Should any scholar request additional teaching, editing, reviewing, speaking, etc. services from the instructor outside of the normal course time framework, the instructor may accept this and the scholar must compensate the instructor for the additional service(s).
